Job Description

Under general supervision, the Loan Servicer performs a variety of operational loan servicing activities supporting the Private Client Banking loan portfolio, including Residential Mortgages, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs), and other retail lending products. Responsible for accurately processing loan servicing transactions throughout the loan lifecycle while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and established service level standards.
Partners with Private Bankers, Financial Advisors, Relationship Managers, and internal business partners to deliver a seamless client experience. Develops working knowledge of loan servicing processes while exercising sound judgment to resolve routine servicing requests and escalate complex issues as appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process routine and moderately complex loan servicing transactions accurately and within established service level expectations.
  • Establish new loans within the servicing system following documented procedures and quality standards.
  • Process loan payments, principal reductions, advances, payoffs, and loan maintenance requests.
  • Set up and maintain automatic payment instructions based on client authorization.
  • Review and process client collateral release requests and routine servicing documentation.
  • Monitor insurance coverage, collateral documentation, escrow requirements, and other tracked servicing exceptions.
  • Research and resolve routine servicing discrepancies while escalating complex issues to senior associates or management.
  • Respond to inquiries from Financial Advisors, Private Bankers, Relationship Managers, and clients via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Maintain complete and accurate loan records while ensuring data integrity within servicing systems.
  • Identify potential operational or compliance risks and follow established escalation procedures.
  • Support internal audits, quality reviews, regulatory examinations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-training, process improvement initiatives, and special projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to Raymond James policies and information security standards.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of

  • Retail loan servicing practices and procedures.
  • Consumer lending products including Residential Mortgages, HELOCs, and Securities-Based Lines of Credit.
  • Basic accounting and loan payment processing concepts.
  • Banking regulations and operational controls related to loan servicing

Skill in

  • Processing high-volume transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
