The PC Deployment Technician will support a large-scale endpoint lifecycle replacement initiative involving approximately 2,100 desktop and laptop computers. This position will work onsite alongside the client’s Desktop Support team and follow established procedures for device staging, imaging, deployment, migration, testing, asset tracking, and decommissioning.
The ideal candidate has previous PC refresh or hardware deployment experience, can work efficiently in a high-volume environment, and provides professional support to end users throughout the device replacement process.
Stage, image, configure, and deploy Windows desktops and laptops using established client processes.
Perform workstation refreshes, hardware replacements, and device swaps.
Install and configure monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals.
Transfer approved user data, profiles, and settings to replacement devices.
Use SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, and other approved tools to support device deployment and configuration.
Perform basic Active Directory tasks, including device account validation and organizational unit placement.
Validate device connectivity, functionality, and required application launches, including Epic auto-launch on designated clinical workstations.
Troubleshoot hardware, Windows operating system, peripheral, and deployment-related issues.
Maintain accurate asset records, inventory information, deployment status, and related documentation.
Collect and prepare decommissioned equipment for approved decommissioning processes.
Communicate professionally with end users during scheduled replacements.
Escalate technical issues or deployment delays to the client’s Desktop Support leadership.
Previous experience as a PC Technician, Deployment Technician, Desktop Support Technician, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with PC lifecycle replacements, hardware refreshes, or large-scale device deployments.
Experience imaging, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10 or Windows 11 devices.
Working knowledge of desktops, laptops, docking stations, monitors, and common peripherals.
Experience supporting user profile or data migration during device replacements.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with asset tracking.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to follow documented technical procedures and work with limited supervision.
Ability to work onsite in Omaha for the duration of the engagement
Experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM and Intune.
Basic Active Directory experience.
Previous experience supporting a healthcare or large enterprise environment.
Experience with Epic-enabled clinical workstations.
CompTIA A+ or comparable technical certification.
Experience working in a high-volume deployment environment with daily productivity expectations.
This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
