
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a part time PBX Attendant for our Communications Department. The PBX Attendant, under the direction of the Communications Supervisor or authorized designee, the PBX Attendant is responsible for the efficient and courteous operation of the switchboard. Duties include handling incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls, assisting in the training of new attendants in the proper use of the switchboard equipment, using intercom equipment, typing announcements of meetings or other appropriate messages on the Doctor’s register.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Previous switchboard experience preferred.
Certifications/Skills: Have nimble hands and a pleasing telephone voice. Should have the ability to remain calm even when working under pressure.
