Job Description

Job Location: Pursuit FL - Fort Pierce, FL 34946Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate steel structures for mold bracing
- Fabricate in process platforms, carts, fixtures, etc.
- Accurately measure, cut, fit, bend, and weld steel structures
- Interpret technical drawings and instructions
- Perform a variety of operations associated with layout and fabrication
- Ensure all operations are performed safely
- Maintain all areas and equipment are clean, tidy, and organized at all times
- Conduct daily routine maintenance of equipment
- Store all materials and tools safely at the end of the day
- Conduct operations using TDC mold fabrication approved processes
Proficiencies:
- Steel fabrication
- Stick, MIG and TIG welding
- Use drill press, hand tools, air tools, band saw, plasma cutter, overhead crane, pipe bender, pipe coping, oxygen, and acetylene torches
- Accurately measure, cut, fit, and bending of raw materials
- Plasma cutting
- Tube bending
- Rigging / heavy part handling
- Forklift, overhead hoist operation
- Reading technical drawings

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safety: provides for continuous improvement and zero recordable safety environment.
- Quality: responsible for Adherence of procedures and processes.
- Delivery: responsible for maintaining schedule to meet key milestones.
- Cost: Maintains departmental budget in labor and materials.
Other similar duties may be assigned
- Understands environmental compliance as it relates to material used in their area:  chemical handling, usage, labeling, storage, and disposal.
- Supports continuous improvement utilizing Safety system, Kaizen, CAR system, and other problem-solving techniques.
- Responsible for the proper maintenance of all equipment used in their area and workplace organization using the 5S methodology.
- Identifies problems (i.e. material shortages, employee relations issues, etc.) within their scope and communicates to the group leader when additional assistance is needed.
Housekeeping:
- Performs housekeeping and other job-related duties assigned by supervisor.
- Frequently handles and ensures that cleanliness and orderliness standards are met throughout the plant.  This means doing the work him/herself whenever necessary.
- Promote department cleanliness. Keep all shop areas clean, parts put away in an orderly fashion
- Promote tool organization and workstation organization

QualificationsGeneral knowledge and understanding of required power tools
Must be able to understand and execute top quality
Must be able to pass the drug/alcohol screening contingent to the hiring process
Job requires standing and working in and around boats/molds throughout the entire day
Must work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, following all safety regulations at all time
Education and/or

Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment
Employee is exposed to ambient could temperatures for short periods in the winter months and is exposed to ambient heat temperatures in summer months. Very dusty environment. Airborne particulates from cutting, drilling, grinding. Exposure to extremely sharp tooling used for cutting fiberglass.

•     Typical 4- or 5-day work week schedule based upon schedule.
•     Overtime is occasional to frequent based on several factors.
•     Required to work indoors and outdoors, year-round and in all weather conditions.
•     May be required to work during production shutdowns or other “off-schedule” periods to conduct special activities.
•     Safety glasses required while in production areas
•     Other PPE may be required based on specific projects.
