What we do:

The People Support Solutions (PSS) department brings its purpose to life by providing our colleagues worldwide with integrated HR solutions tailored to their needs. We are a team that works very closely together to ensure good employee relations, anticipate our customers' future needs, and proactively develop solutions.

The Payroll, Time, Benefits team focuses on payroll, time, benefits support and provides customer service and advisory support to P&C and business partners on local P&C systems and processes and ensuring end-to-end process completion in line with customer focused principles to ensure the Roche People Practices work for the business.

As a Payroll, Time, Benefits Specialist, you are responsible for executing HR system data maintenance and administrative activities in a timely and accurate manner in support of P&C business processes (in the area of payroll, tax, social insurance, time, several local and global benefits etc.). You are also contributing to the continuous improvement of the P&C Support Solutions delivery through analysis of the interactions and collaboration with other P&C functions within and outside of P&C Support Solutions. You need a broad understanding across local HR processes and tools, as well as local and global downstream

impacts on employee lifecycle management, finance, procurement, IT, etc. This is coupled with strong customer focus, communication skills and solution orientation.

The Opportunity

This is a unique role where you will manage a diverse portfolio. While your focus will be on Hungary , you will also act as a senior point of contact for near countriesYour main responsibilities will be:

  • Hungary Operations: Take full ownership of customer service for Hungarian employees, managing HR inquiries with a high degree of empathy and efficiency.

  • Knowledge Management: Lead the maintenance and creation of local HR documentation, ensuring our knowledge base is accurate, up-to-date, and easy to navigate.

  • Regional Senior Support: Provide "Senior-level" operational guidance for our smaller cluster countries, ensuring global P&C processes are followed correctly.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Handle the lifecycle of employee documents (contracts, amendments, etc.) with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Payroll Collaboration: Support the monthly payroll cycle by providing accurate data and acting as a bridge between HR and the payroll providers (prior payroll experience is a plus!).

  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in local ways of working and propose solutions to harmonize tasks across the assigned countries.

Who You Are

We are looking for a "Senior-Lite" profile—someone who is experienced enough to work independently and support multiple countries, but still enjoys the hands-on nature of HR administration and documentation.

What you bring to the team:

  • Experience: 2-4 years in HR Operations or a People Support Environment (Shared Service Center experience is a significant advantage).

  • Language Skills: Native-level Hungarian is essential, combined with fluent English for regional and global collaboration.

  • Technical Mindset: You are comfortable with HRIS systems (Workday is a plus) and have a structured approach to data and documentation.

  • Payroll Awareness: You have a foundational understanding of payroll processes (you don’t need to be a senior expert, but you understand the mechanics of data flow).

  • Customer-First Attitude: You enjoy helping people and can translate complex HR jargon into simple, actionable information for employees.

  • Multi-Country Mindset: You are excited about the prospect of supporting different legal entities and cultures across the SEE region.
