JOB ID 21941 – Tax & Compliance Analyst

Location: Tampa, 33602 – WFH Flexible
Must work (2) days onsite weekly

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour

Type: Contract, until Feb 2026

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Start date: Target August 18
Client will begin interviews week of August 11

• Prepare and File Tax Returns: Accurately reconcile, file, and amend payroll withholding tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for federal, state, and local agencies.
• Manage Tax Payments and Compliance: Process EFTPS and other tax payments, monitor regulatory changes, and ensure clients’ tax configurations in HCM software remain accurate and compliant.
• Support and Troubleshoot: Respond to and resolve client tax inquiries, handle urgent tax issues and notices, and follow through to ensure resolution and communication.
• Tax Setup and Balancing: Perform tax setup and balancing for new and existing clients, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all accounts.
• Team Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with team members, assist with backup coverage, identify process issues or trends, and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Nice to have:

• Master’s Degree
• Certifications: CPP or EA
• MS Excel: Macros

Requirements:

• Must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Must have (1)+ years of filing payroll tax returns in SE region
• Must be proficient with MS Excel: Formulas, pivot tables
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required
