Job Description

This position is responsible to provide support in all areas of complex payroll including but not limited to statutory deductions, escheat reporting, Federal State and Local Tax Credits and special projects. Qualified Candidate is also responsible to prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or company needs and address employees concerns regarding PR issues.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet daily deliverables for company maintenance updates in ADP and JDE
  • Ensure all tax issues are forwarded to ADP for resolution as appropriate and tax necessary internal fact checking as required.
  • Maintain audits and controls between ADP/GL and JDE to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Appropriate application of payroll entries using accepted accounting standards and BELFOR practice and processes..
  • Research laws and regulation regarding tax and reporting requirements and report to Payroll Manager
  • Review Unemployment rate notices and recommendations of ADP to reduce rates
  • Update ADP SUI rates annually and ensure all rates received
  • Maintain liability spreadsheet for SUI obligations
  • Verification of quarterly tax returns filed by ADP
  • Identify areas of concern for WC reporting and work with Payroll Supervisor on resolution
  • Manage and report all amendment results to Payroll Manager
  • Implement internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory
  • Participate in continuing education to expand career and stay up to date on legislation or process changes
  • Identify areas of concern in system and work with Manager on resolution.
  • Assist in the development and continuing improvement efforts to establish Belfor USA Group, Inc and the Payroll Department as World Class in the industry.
  • Comply with company and department policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Update and reconcile payroll tax master reports tracking ein's and entities as changes are reported.
  • Monthly and quarterly local tax reporting as required
  • Maintenance of ADP Smart Compliance for tax reporting
  • Monthly reconciliation, tracking and reporting of stale dated checks
  • Daily review of WOTC systems to ensure compliance
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
  • Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information
  • Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
