Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Payroll Systems Management

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for ADP GlobalView.
  • Support payroll system configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and validate employee data integrations between HR, timekeeping and ADP payroll systems.
  • Investigate system interface failures, payroll discrepancies and data mismatches.

Payroll Data Validation & Automation

  • Develop automated validation processes to ensure accurate employee data transfer from HR and timekeeping to payroll systems.
  • Design and maintain automation tools using Excel VBA, macros, Power Query and scripting.
  • Implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to streamline payroll validation and reporting processes.
  • Create automated reconciliation tools to validate payroll inputs before payroll processing cycles.

Reporting & Payroll Analytics

  • Build and maintain payroll operational dashboards and reporting frameworks.
  • Develop exception reports to detect data inconsistencies, missing records or payroll anomalies.
  • Provide data insights to payroll leadership to support payroll governance and operational improvements.

Shared Services Technical Support

  • Provide technical payroll support to the global shared services payroll team.
  • Work with the global payroll teams to gather user requirements, generate specification documents and create service desk tickets.
  • Assist payroll analysts in resolving complex payroll system and data issues.
  • Support system upgrades, payroll testing cycles and integration changes.
  • Document payroll automation tools, validation processes and technical workflows.

Process Improvement & Digital Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes through automation, data analytics, and system optimization.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce manual payroll validation and reconciliation activities.
  • Support payroll transformation projects including system integration improvements and automation implementation.

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Payroll preferred
  • Exposure to common HRIS (such as Oracle HCM Cloud and Workday) and timekeeping system (such as UKG and Ramco)
  • Understanding of HR and timekeeping system to Payroll system integrations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (VBA, Macros, Power Query, data automation)
  • Experience developing RPA solutions (UiPath, Power Automate, or similar tools)
  • Strong data analysis, validation and reconciliation skills
  • Ability to create automated reporting and exception management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system and payroll data issues
  • Strong attention to detail and payroll data integrity
  • Ability to operate in a shared services and cross-functional environment
  • Excellent documentation and process improvement capabilities
  • Experience in global or regional payroll shared services
  • Experience supporting payroll system implementations or transformations
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance, audit controls and payroll governance frameworks
