Job Description

Wyoming County Board of Education and its Designated Officers

1. Primary responsibility of preparing payrolls for payment, which includes preparation of substitutes for payment, entering sick leave and personal leave days, and comparing data from school and employee reports 2. Handle routine correspondence, clerical tasks, filing, and prepare various reports in a timely manner
2. Operate all computerized business office machines
3. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his designee and duties listed in job description

Qualifications:

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
2. Must have completed twelve college hours of accounting from an accredited institution of higher education or have at least eight years of experience performing progressively difficult accounting tasks 3. Advanced knowledge and experience in operation of computers; extensive experience in WVEIS, and Microsoft applications including Excel and Word
3. Must pass the Payroll Supervisor competency test 5. Dependable work record and prior bookkeeping experience preferred 6. Able to perform duties listed in job description

Employment Term: 240 days
