Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist I provides foundational payroll support through data entry, record maintenance, and payroll processing assistance.
This is an entry-level role designed to build payroll knowledge and prepare employees for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll data entry and processing
- Maintain payroll records and documentation
- Review timekeeping inputs
- Respond to routine payroll inquiries
- Support reporting and reconciliation preparation
- Participate in cross-training

QualificationsMinimum

Qualifications for Considerations:
- High School Education or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in payroll processing preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Moderate Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook),
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter with detail-oriented work habits
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Display professional demeanor
- Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individuals
- Demonstrate dependability through good attendance, punctuality and adherence to timelines and schedules

Physical Requirements:
