The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee personnel records, and conducting payroll reporting and auditing duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinate payroll processes with payroll system for both hourly and salaried employees
Process new hires, terminations, garnishments, deductions, withholdings, as necessary
Audit user data entry for completeness
Ensure time records are complete and processed for each payroll process and oversee reconciliation to GL
Works with HR team to train new employees to HR/Payroll systems
Reconcile outstanding list of payroll checks
Maintain list of uncashed checks and submit unclaimed wages as required by state
Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software; prior experience with Paycom a plus
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Five years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least two years of experience in payroll
Fluent in Spanish plus
Travel Requirements
Some travel may be required as needed
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
