We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our People Excellence team based in Auckland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who thrives on accuracy, customer service and continuous improvement. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our people are paid right, first time, on time, while delivering an exceptional experience for employees, leaders and stakeholders across the business.

Working closely with our outsourced payroll provider and internal teams, you'll manage end-to-end payroll activities, maintain employee data integrity, support payroll compliance, and contribute to broader People Excellence initiatives and projects.

This role offers variety, ownership and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing and supportive team.

You bring strong payroll expertise, a customer-first mindset and a passion for delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience processing end-to-end payroll in a large and complex environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and payroll controls
  • Experience working with time and attendance systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong numerical accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and high volumes of work
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • A collaborative, positive and resilient approach
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care

Experience with ADP Payforce, UKG/Kronos, SAP, New Zealand payroll or Australian payroll environments will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys helping people, building strong relationships and continuously improving processes to create better experiences for employees and stakeholders.
