Position Title: Payroll Specialist

Quick Rundown:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. This role is responsible for payroll processing, statutory compliance, final pay, payroll adjustments, tax annualization, loan deductions, and resolving payroll-related concerns while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
What You’ll Do:
Payroll Processing
Manage end-to-end payroll preparation, including data extraction, data loading, validation, cross-checking, and reconciliation of all payroll information before finalization.
Ensure payroll reports and individual payslips are accurately generated and transmitted within specified timelines.
Maintain strict confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance in all payroll processes.
Statutory Contribution Processing
Compute SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR deductions.
Review employee records for accurate contribution details.
Process monthly government remittances on time.
Prepare and submit required statutory reports.
Reconcile contribution reports before payment.
Process contribution adjustments and corrections.
Maintain accurate statutory contribution records and documents.
Final Pay Processing
Prepare complete and accurate final pay computations covering tax refunds, unused leave balances, outstanding deductions, severance pay, and other applicable components.
Validate supporting documents and secure approvals through HRIS to ensure timely release of final pay.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on computations.
Payroll Dispute Management
Receive, evaluate, and process payroll-related disputes such as attendance corrections, shift changes, overtime differentials, and leave adjustments.
Compute dispute adjustments with accuracy, update trackers, and ensure inclusion in the next payroll cycle.
Provide clear communication and resolutions to employees and supervisors within SLA.
Retro Pay Processing
Compute retroactive payments due to salary adjustments, delayed contract updates, or prior period corrections.
Validate computations against timesheets, HR changes, and supporting documents.
Coordinate release through payment requests and ensure timely crediting.
Tax Annualization & 13th Month Pay
Prepare and distribute annual tax refund/due payslips, ensuring accuracy of annualization computations.
Compute mid-year and year-end 13th month pay with full documentation and ensure timely dissemination of payslips.
Loan Deduction Management
Maintain updated records and ensure accurate deductions for BPI, SSS loans, Savii, and Tendo Pay.
Reconcile loan data against payroll systems and partner reports to prevent miscomputations or missed deductions.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
At least 1 year of payroll experience, preferably in a BPO or high-volume payroll environment.
Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll processes, government-mandated benefits, taxes, and statutory deductions.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential payroll information with professionalism and integrity.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
