Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Timekeeping Processing:
- Interprets and adheres to union contracts and pay policies.
- Processes payroll according to federal and state guidelines.
- Processes payroll according to internal documentation and checklists.
- Process uploads using Add-ins.
- Knowledge and understanding of gross-to-net payroll calculations.
- Audits automated system output such as registers and standard reports.
- Determines and corrects out-of-balance conditions.
- Processes garnishments and levies.
- Calculates and collects salary overpayments.
- Processes check requests on a bi-weekly basis.
- Processes stop payments and ACH returns with banking institution.
- Processes employee exception payroll requests as needed (W4, MN W4, direct deposit).
- Maintains knowledge on all Client compensation policies and practices
- Monitors e-time compliance; notifies department leadership of high-risk and non-compliant practices
- Collaborates with managers/timekeepers when complex issues arise
- Performs audits of significance involving E-Time
- Runs reports of E-Time information and educates requestors on the process
- Processes significant repayments, through historical edits, in compliance with state and federal law
- Processes complex historical edit as driven by user error or finance requests
- Complies with year-end processing schedules and impacts to work
- Education and training of managers/timekeepers in regard to E-Time functionality
- Acknowledges open cases within 2 business hours and resolves within 2 business days.
- Assistance with schedule set up within e-time and maintenance
- Daily and bi-weekly auditing/correcting of errors within E-time

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in US payroll/timekeeping experience
- Experience in Lawson (ADP)
- Adaptability to frequent change
- Ability to create executive ready presentations and reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint).
- High integrity with confidential information; excellent judgment and service orientation.
- Availability to work CST, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years degree Human Resource, Accounting, Tax or related field
- 4 years’ payroll experience
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional)
- Experience in a complex organization
- Experience in a union environment
- Lawson and/or Kronos knowledge
- Prior contractor/consulting experience in large, matrixed organizations
