Job Description

Academic Req Associates Degree with 2 years’ experience OR 4 years’ experience to substitute education


Certifications CPP Preferred but not required

Work experience 5+ years multi-state payroll experience, preferably with Federal Contracting and Project Based payroll and knowledgeable in all aspects of payroll.


Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:

1. Responsible to manage all payroll duties for assigned company.
2. Work closely with your Managers/Supervisors to audit payroll and request approvals
3. Responsible for timely processing all helpdesk tickets for your companies
4. Provide situational awareness to management on any critical problem or issue that may arise in your area.

Other Responsibilities:

• Process audit reports each pay period as noted in Payroll Checklist
• Process Verification of Employment requests
• Process Garnishments for your companies
• Work as a team player to assist other payroll specialists to meet payroll deadlines


Requirements:

Experience & Background:

• Five (5) plus years of payroll experience with a high volume, multi-state organization.
• Knowledge of Federal and State payroll requirements, FLSA, employment tax reporting and garnishment processing knowledge
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Teams) and Workday


Language Skills:

• Ability to effectively communicate with Associates at all levels in the organization
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, preference given to candidates who are bilingual (written and speaking) in Spanish
• Well-developed verbal, listening and phone communication skills
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to write routine correspondence
