Payroll Processing: Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission
Timesheet Processing: Checking timesheets for accuracy, communication with managers and HR Director as needed
Data Management: Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, deductions, benefits, salary changes, bonus pay, overtime, retro pay and tax withholdings.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll, taxes, and garnishments.
Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Reconcile benefit related
Reporting & Communication: Generate payroll reports, budgets, ad hoc reports as requested by management and answer employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and tax forms. Prepare payroll reports for audits (financial & 401K audit). Generate and communicate Benefit reports to Benefit Manager.
Experience: 5 years’ experience in payroll processing. Basic knowledge of bookkeeping.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UnicornHRO) and Microsoft Excel. SAP proficiency is plus but not required
Attention to Detail: High level of precision in numerical data entry and auditing.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits administration.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
