Job Category: Other PositionsUS Heart and Vascular is needing a Part-time Hybrid Payroll Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Processes payroll for employees accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Calculates wages, deductions, and withholdings, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Verifies timekeeping records and resolves discrepancies or errors.
  • Inputs and maintains employee data in payroll systems, including new hires, terminations, and changes.
  • Prepares and distributes payroll reports, statements, and checks or direct deposits.
  • Responds to employee inquiries and assists with payroll-related matters.
  • Reconciles payroll accounts and prepares journal entries for payroll transactions.
  • Ensures payroll compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Processes and submits payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports.
  • Assists with payroll audits and provides documentation and support as needed.
  • Stays updated on payroll best practices, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with HR and accounting departments to streamline payroll processes and resolve issues.
  • Maintains a safe workplace by following established safety protocols, reporting hazards, and participating in required safety training.
  • Fosters a team-oriented environment by encouraging cooperation, providing support, and resolving conflicts constructively.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.
  • Follows processes and policies for the organization.
  • Reports to work as scheduled, ready to perform duties, and promptly notifies their supervisor of any attendance issues
  • Adapts to changing priorities, processes, and business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of experience in payroll, finance, or revenue cycle.
