Under the general direction of the Payroll Manager, this position has the responsibility for ensuring our employees are paid timely and accurately.

Primary Responsibilities (May include but not limited to):

• Bi-weekly payroll processing: This includes calculating wages, processing deductions, and ensuring accurate payment.
• Leave request management: Handling sick leave, vacation time, and other types of leave.
• Direct deposit processing: Ensuring timely and accurate direct deposit of employee pay.
• Payroll report generation: Preparing and analyzing payroll reports for management.
• Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of employee payroll data, including pay, deductions, and benefits.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Employee support: Handling inquiries from employees regarding their pay and payroll-related issues.

Required Education / Skills / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):

• Strong understanding of payroll principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with payroll software and systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with union-related payroll processes may be required for certain positions.

Location

• The position is hybrid allowing work from home 3 days a week and is otherwise based in PVS Corporate Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. Employees are responsible for being onsite on an as needed basis.

Salary: Dependent on experience; $50,000 - $60,000
