Payroll Representative

4-Week Contract – Potential Extension

London, ON (On-Site)

$30-$34/hour, pending experience

This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and payroll procedures while providing support to employees and managers on payroll-related matters

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
• Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Process payroll adjustments, deductions, retroactive payments, vacation payouts, garnishments, and other payroll transactions
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, journal entries, T4 adjustments, and Records of Employment (ROEs)
• Coordinate payroll transactions with banking institutions and maintain payroll records
• Respond to employee and management payroll inquiries, providing timely and professional support
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues

Qualifications

• Previous payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll practices, and payroll reconciliation
• Experience with payroll systems (Workday experience is an asset)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
