Zurich is currently looking for a Payroll Representative to work out of our Schaumburg, IL office on a hybrid basis. This person will focus on processing daily transactions (including terminations, garnishments and timecard corrections), ensuring the employee data is entered in the company systems appropriately.

The Payroll Representative enters and controls data from confidential employee records in the organization’s computerized Human Resources Information Systems. They identify and solve any anomaly or discrepancy in order to ensure data and information are accurate and guarantee Human Resources and management have access to up to date personnel related data in the systems.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Enters personnel-related data into system including new hire, address/phone number changes, salary changes, terminations, etc.
  • Reviews all paperwork for completeness and accuracy before entering into the system of record.
  • Follows up with appropriate Human Resources Representative for clarification or with any discrepancies/issues.
  • Resolves payroll misapplied actions, working with local Human Resources Representative, as necessary.
  • Maintains a thorough and up-to-date working knowledge of Human Resources procedures and processes; assists in documenting Human Resources administrative processes.
  • Monitors Human Resources e-mail. Answers questions or refers to appropriate Human Resources department, as appropriate.
  • Reviews source documents for accuracy and completion of data input and verifies output.
  • Assist with identification of process improvements, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Mandatory Overtime, as required.
  • Regular Predictable Attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and no years of experience in the HR processing area
    AND
  • Knowledge of customer service etiquette and protocol
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of Human Resources processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of payroll processing
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Effective team member that can collaborate across business units to achieve goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and detail oriented

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us.

The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Hourly rate for this position is 22.40-33.87, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
