
Payroll Officer - Hybrid Role - 2 Days Office, 3 Days WFH
Thanks to an internal team member progressing into a new opportunity within UGL, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Processing Team.
This full-time permanent hybrid position will see you work 2 days from the North Sydney head office and 3 days from home. We offer a fully equipped kitchen on every floor (including espresso machine!), and comfortable seating where you can catch up with colleagues over lunch. When the team is in the office there always seems to be an excuse to celebrate or some homemade international cuisine to share!
Our payroll is processed digitally with SAP at the core along with ServiceNow, Navigo and Kronos.

About the role
The payroll team at UGL follows best practice and is segregated into three distinct teams, data management, payroll processing and payroll accounting. Based in the payroll processing team you will be responsible for ensuring everyone is paid the correct amount, at the right time.
The role includes payroll processing, income protection, workers compensation and manual payments, uploading payslips, weekly reconciliation, submission of payment summaries via STP, and calculation of termination and redundancy quotes. You will work on SAP S/4HANA and solve payroll tickets issued via ServiceNow and liaise with our friendly recruitment and P&C teams to solve payroll queries.
Key responsibilities
·Ensure compliant, efficient and effective delivery of payroll services.
·Process payroll transactions using SAP.
·Action approved requests and ServiceNow tickets.
·Generate payslips, reporting and payroll reconciliations.
·Build effective stakeholder relationships and provide excellent customer service.
·Participate in process improvements, testing and project activities.
About you
·Experience as a Payroll Officer in a medium to high-volume payroll environment.
·Experience with complex payrolls, Awards and EBAs.
·SAP experience essential and ServiceNow exposure desirable.
·Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
·Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
