At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.

We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you’ll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before.

Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility. Just imagine the impact you could make.

The purpose of this role:

As a Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services that support employees across the business. You'll manage a range of payroll transactions, maintain employee data, respond to payroll enquiries and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and employment agreements, while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the payroll function.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with detail, building relationships and providing excellent customer service. You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help ensure the payroll function runs smoothly and efficiently. If you're organised, proactive and take pride in delivering a high-quality service, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in a busy and supportive environment.

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Australian payroll processing, from beginning to end
  • Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven payroll environment.
  • A solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements in Australia.
  • Experience using payroll and HR systems, with exposure to iChris, UKG Dimensions, Workday and ServiceNow viewed favourably.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.

Why you’ll love it?

We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves. From providing initiatives that develop careers to looking after our people’s health, wellbeing and futures. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with a mix of time in the office and at home, while having plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take your experience to the next level.

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.

Here at Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are committed to building diverse teams that are reflective of the communities we serve and fostering a fair and inclusive workplace free from discrimination, bullying and harassment. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ applicants and are dedicated to removing barriers to participation.
