VIC - Melbourne - 655 Collins StExciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join Service Stream’s Business Services team

Service Stream’s Corporate division are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Business Services team. Reporting directly to the Group Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing and controlling the payment of wages and salaries, associated third party payments and to ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of related payroll records. Based in our Collins Street head office (VIC), and offered on a Permanent, Full Time basis, this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment of wages, salaries, and invoices
• Maintain award data and ensure wages payments comply with awards, OEA, arbitrated decisions and consent agreements
• Manage the process of worker’s compensation claims
• Control the reconciliation of payroll, payroll tax and superannuation payments
• Calculate and complete the statutory payments for all companies including state payroll taxes, Superannuation, PAYG taxation
• Assist in the analysis of payroll information for monthly and annual financial reporting
• Liaise with the People & Culture to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in a complex corporate or shared services environment processing a high volume of 24/7, weekly, fortnightly & monthly pay runs
• Knowledge of Payroll Tax requirements for all States/Territories
• Experience with Chris21 is highly desired
• Experience within the construction and/or call centre industries is desirable
• Exposure to Workday HCM is advantageous
• Experience with ‘month end’ processing and 24/7 timesheet coding is advantageous
• Exceptional attention detail and numerical & analytical skills
