
Payroll Manager – Global Payroll Center of Excellence
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for designated countries or regions, with strong ownership of China payroll operations.
· Supervise, coach and develop senior and junior payroll team members, fostering high performance and knowledge sharing
· Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, statutory requirements and company policies.
· Collaborate with HR, Finance and external service providers to maintain accurate employee master data, benefits and financial integration.
· Support and coordinate payroll audits, statutory filings and reporting requirements.
· Drive payroll system enhancements, automation and process improvement to increase efficiency, scalability and accuracy.
· Act as a point of contact for escalated complex payroll issues and inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
· Lead or participate in ad-hoc payroll or HR related projects, including payroll transitions, new country setup or global initiatives as and when required
Key Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related discipline.
· Strong hands-on experience with SAP Payroll preferred
· Prior experience working in a global or regional payroll shared services environment
· Minimum 5+ years of payroll experience, including end-to-end China payroll
· Strong knowledge of international payroll regulations, statutory requirements, and best practices.
· Proven experience in leading payroll transitions, system implementation, vendor transitions or automation initiatives.
· Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Mandarin language proficiency is an advantage
