The Payroll Coordinator II is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict compliance with multi-state tax and wage regulation, daily pay processing, timecard administration, participation in daily auditing and exception review. This position operates in a fast paced and high volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work remotely from anywhere in the United States
  • Process end to end weekly payroll including verifying all changes, additions, terminations or additional pays have been included and processed.
  • Complete all pre and post transmission auditing and validation
  • Oversee Daily Pay program and processing of transactions
  • Compliance with Federal, State and Local tax laws
  • Timecard and absence administration for non-exempt population
  • Process stop payments and direct deposit reversals
  • Process check and direct deposit files to payment vendor
  • Answer employee inquiries and resolve discrepancies within approved SLA guidelines
  • Reconcile all banking transactions for each pay period
  • Backup for other members of payroll team
  • Daily Manual Check processing
  • Actively identify areas of improvement
  • Develop ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by management

Desired qualifications:

  • College degree or minimum 7 years of payroll processing multi-state payroll and data entry experience
  • Experience with Oracle HRIS and ADP Smart Compliance preferred
  • Experience with Payroll Tax filing
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, very organized and strong teamwork skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must be flexible, dependable
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$72,000$85,000 USD
