Tekgo- Payroll Coordinator

Tekgo, a leading healthcare staffing solutions provider, is hiring a Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Birmingham, AL!

The ideal candidate would be someone who is organized, detailed-oriented, and experienced in payroll coordination.

Start: 10/5/2026

Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri

Compensation: $26.00/hourly with bonus opportunity

Location: Birmingham AL

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for supporting and administering payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely payment of employee wages. This position works closely with the Operations Support Coordinator, Managers, and

Employees to process payroll transactions, maintain payroll records, address payroll inquiries, and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Process payroll data accurately and timely for weekly payroll cycles.

· Review and verify employee time records, attendance records, and payroll changes.

· Enter and maintain payroll-related information, including new hires, terminations, wage adjustments, deductions,

and direct deposit information.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and payroll procedures.

· Assist with payroll audits and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, timekeeping, and payroll-related issues.

· Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and personal information.

· Prepare payroll reports for management, accounting, and regulatory purposes.

· Coordinate with PEO (Professional Employer Organization) regarding employee status changes and benefit

deductions.

· Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

· Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll reconciliations.

· Maintain organized payroll records and documentation.

· Support payroll system updates, testing, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma

Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume, multi-state payroll environment, with responsibility for accurately processing employee wages, taxes, deductions, and garnishments.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
