Job Description

In this role, you’ll ensure the accurate and compliant delivery of Australian and international payrolls, supporting employees across multiple jurisdictions and pay cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process Australian payrolls, supporting the preparation of international payrolls as required.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of employee entitlements, deductions, and long service leave, including Coal LSL.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation in line with policies and compliance requirements.
  • Process payroll changes, terminations, and ad hoc payments accurately and on time.
  • Respond to payroll and system queries, providing day‑to‑day support to employees and system users.
  • Assist with audits and payroll reporting as required.

Required Experience:

  • Previous payroll experience not essential; we will consider capable administrators or finance professionals keen to build a career in payroll.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, spreadsheets, and data validation to support payroll processing.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality work.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organised in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
