Job Description

Reporting directly to the Senior HR Manager, the payroll coordinator will support data entry and data verification during the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees, as well as other payroll related reports and duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process employee bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Manage employee time data and ensure accuracy of hours worked.
  • Keep employees informed of important dates affecting payroll, including deadlines, pay dates, and holidays.
  • Process payroll adjustments, such as retroactive pay, bonuses and any other supplemental pay.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records.
  • Process payroll deductions and other withholdings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Work with HR to ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Work with accounting team and grants administration to ensure finalizing of payroll data to external sources.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 review and distribution.
  • Generate payroll reports as required.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience is required.
  • Must have experience working with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Must be a team player.
