Acts as a consultant and provides technical advice and support to the Payroll Department and other HR related areas. This position is responsible for documenting and testing system changes and training HR Associates on timekeeping processes. Additionally, the HRIS Consultant is a Workday super-user in the area of Payroll and Benefits and troubleshoots system issues. A Brief Overview

What you will do

  • Serves as a resource for the department in answering questions, researching issues, and resolving problems related to Payroll and HRIS.
  • Serves as a liaison between Human Resources and Information Technology Departments to provide systems support and to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of Payroll and Benefit Administration.
  • Acts as the technical expert by providing technical support and services to payroll and benefits administration.
  • Manages the development and preparation of training materials and guides for Payroll and coordinates timekeeping training for associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.


Education/Formal Training Requirements

  • Required - Bachelor's Degree Business Administration
  • Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Accounting
  • Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Human Resources
  • Preferred - High School Diploma or Equivalent


Work Experience Requirements

  • Preferred - Human Resource Information Systems 7-9 years
  • Preferred - Payroll information systems 7-9 years


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of associates and management.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with co-workers, other departments and areas.
  • Ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks, organize tasks and maintain control of workflow.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and prepare moderately complex written material, such as government regulations.
  • Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations and analyses, as might be acquired through completion of 1 to 2 semesters of college-level mathematics or statistics.
  • Excellent technical knowledge.
  • Creates, communicates and applies performance development best practices.


Supervision Provided by this Position

  • There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities associated with this position.


Physical Demands

  • The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
