We’re seeking a hands-on Payroll & BOH Systems Lead to own end-to-end payroll delivery, compliance and system integrity across our fast paced, multi-site event venues business. This is a critical role focused on payroll continuity, labour planning and controls, with strong emphasis on Employment Hero configuration, optimisation and system improvement.

This role may be offered as permanent part time for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Lead end to end payroll delivery across all venues.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with relevant awards, agreements and employment legislation; maintain strong controls, audit trails and documentation.
  • Act as the Employment Hero subject matter expert, owning payroll configuration, optimisation, troubleshooting and system improvements.
  • Partner with People & Operations on payroll, rostering and labour planning, ensuring outcomes align with budgets and financial targets.
  • Provide payroll and labour analysis to identify trends, risks and efficiency opportunities.
  • Maintain payroll related CRM data integrity, supporting accurate labour costing and reporting.
  • Project manage the implementation and stabilisation of the Back of House (BOH) system.
  • Support broader finance administration including supplier payments and customer deposit management.

About You:

  • Extensive hands on payroll experience in a multi site or complex operating environment.
  • Proven Employment Hero experience (essential and non negotiable).
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, labour planning, controls and risk management.
  • Experience supporting system implementations or major process change (BOH / ERP / payroll systems highly regarded).
  • High attention to detail, strong documentation skills and a practical, solutions focused mindset.
  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or Payroll, with demonstrated experience as a payroll lead or senior payroll practitioner.
  • Hospitality, venues or multi award workforce experience highly desirable.
