For a Leading Shipping Company: Payroll / Compensation & Benefits Administrator
Responsibilities:
Manage and execute payroll for approximately 350 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance with labor and tax regulations, and timely submission of all relevant filings
Collaborate with the in-house accounting team on payroll reconciliations, reporting, and audit support, with a focus on process improvement
Supports the preparation and execution of the monthly payroll process, including collection and verification of employee data (leaves, absences, salary changes, new hires and terminations) and maintenance of payroll supporting documentation and filing
Compiles and updates employee data in HRMS and Payroll systems, ensuring accuracy of employee records and proper maintenance of electronic and physical employee files
Provides day-to-day HR operational support, handling employee requests related to compensation and benefits such as employment certificates, bank certificates, advance payments and other administrative requests
Prepares pre-hiring and onboarding documentation and coordinates onboarding activities with HR, IT and other internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth integration of new employees
Supports HR processes related to the employee lifecycle, including preparation of employment contracts, employment changes, employee exits and related documentation
Supports regulatory and statutory reporting requirements, including ERGANI submissions and preparation of information requested by public authorities or other regulatory bodies
Administers employee benefits and job tools, including insurance programs, travel insurance, corporate credit cards and mobile phone plans, ensuring policies and eligibility lists remain updated
Acts as a liaison with external providers and partners (insurance companies, telecom providers and other service providers) for employee requests, claims administration and operational coordination
Coordinates employee medical check-ups, occupational health requirements and frequent travelers related processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
Supports HR reporting and data preparation for surveys, internal reporting and ad hoc projects, including compensation or benefits related research when required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Human Resources or a related field
2–4 years of experience in HR Administration, Payroll Administration or Compensation & Benefits support roles
Experience working with in-house payroll processes will be considered a strong advantage
Familiarity with HRMS and payroll systems and employee data management
