The Payroll and Finance Administrator will support the accurate and timely processing of the Company’s fortnightly payroll, while also providing day-to-day administrative support to the Finance Department.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work accurately within strict deadlines. They will also be responsible for responding to payroll queries and maintaining confidential employee and financial information.
Reports to: Financial Controller
• Process the Company’s fortnightly payroll accurately and on time using CollSoft and OneTouch.
• Review and verify employee hours, rates of pay, holidays, absences and other payroll-related information.
• Add new employees to the relevant payroll and workforce-management systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
• Process CareFriends referral payments.
• Respond promptly and professionally to payroll queries from employees and managers.
• Prepare, review and reconcile payroll reports using Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and other relevant formulas.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and supporting documentation.
• Adhere strictly to deadlines for payroll processing and the submission of Revenue returns.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of Irish payroll taxation and other statutory requirements.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislative and industry changes and incorporate these changes into Company practices.
• Carry out any other payroll-related duties that may reasonably be required.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
• Assist the Finance Department with the preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Carry out general administrative duties for the Finance Department.
The Payroll and Finance Administrator will have access to sensitive employee and financial information and must maintain the highest standards of confidentiality at all times.
The successful candidate must comply with all applicable requirements under the General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Acts and Company policies relating to data protection, confidentiality, record management and information security.
Employees are required to comply with all Company health and safety policies and procedures and to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions while at work.
• Previous payroll administration or payroll-processing experience.
• Good working knowledge of Irish payroll taxation and Revenue requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience using VLOOKUP.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively within strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to respond professionally to employee and management queries.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and financial information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
• Experience using CollSoft, OneTouch or similar payroll and workforce-management systems.
• Experience processing fortnightly payroll.
• Bookkeeping experience using a financial system such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Previous experience working within the healthcare or homecare sector.
