The Payroll Analytics Advisor is responsible for assessing historical payroll data into actionable insights that support financial and business decision-making. This role is focused on leveraging payroll analytics to deliver agreed outcomes in payroll remediation & compliance.

The advisor works closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and to recommend fixes aligned with organisational priorities and strategic goals.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Review historical payroll records, including paper timesheets and provide recommendation on approach to resolve identified concerns
  • Analyse payroll data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for remediation.
  • Prepare reports and insights to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, People & Partnerships, and Finance teams to ensure accurate remediation and reporting.
  • Assist with documentation and audit preparation related to remediation efforts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity throughout the remediation process.
  • Support HR and finance departments with analytical insights.
  • Maintain a high standard of data integrity and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver payroll analytics reports
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to identify data requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and policies.
  • Identify trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of payroll analytics tools.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

  • Demonstrated experience in payroll analytics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Understanding of payroll compliance and data privacy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
