The Opportunity

Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience while ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance? Hitachi Energy is looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused HR & Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team in Crystal Springs, MS.

In this highly visible role, you'll help support a workforce of more than 300 employees while playing a key part in payroll administration, employee support, recruiting coordination, and onboarding activities. You'll be instrumental in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while contributing to a positive workplace culture and seamless HR operations.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead weekly payroll processing for 300+ employees with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Support the successful transition from UKG Kronos to ADP Time & Attendance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, payroll data, and timekeeping information.
  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, from candidate sourcing through offer support.
  • Coordinate interviews, onboarding activities, and new hire orientation programs.
  • Partner with employees and leaders to resolve payroll and HR-related inquiries.
  • Track recruiting and HR metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Your Background

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience in a high-volume or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with UKG Kronos and/or ADP Time & Attendance strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS platforms is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
