Key position functions:

  • Process timekeeping and payroll activities in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist with and/or complete a variety of administrative activities in support of payroll processing and department functions.
  • Maintain high proficiency knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Provide strong customer service focus to peers, employees and management.
  • Process new hires, terminations, transfers, and changes within the payroll system.
  • Maintain employee files and information.
  • Initiate probation notices.
  • Facilitate RRSP signups.
  • Track mileage as per CRA guidelines.
  • Maintain a service oriented approach to working with colleagues and when responding to employee inquiries.
  • Complete project work as assigned.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • Experience with timekeeping and payroll processing activities – minimum two years payroll administration experience.
  • National Payroll Institute PCP certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems – experience with UKG is an asset.
  • Experience with time keeping systems – Synerion is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused.
  • Well organized and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
