About This Role

Excellent opportunity for highly motivated individual to assume the Payroll Accounting Specialist position within the Carrier Business Services organization. The organization offers opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a growing shared service division and reinforce processes to sustain flexibility as the business needs change. Job responsibilities subject to change based upon alignment of processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data

• Support union payroll requirements

• Certified payroll reporting for government customers

• Resolves payroll discrepancies and inquires

• Assure compliance with wage, labor laws, and company payroll policies

• Maintain fringe rate calculation and benefits

• Serve as a liaison for Local Union audits

• Prepare and approve payroll journal entries and account reconciliations

• Manage, report and mistake proof escapes & turn-backs

• Special ad-hoc projects as assigned by the manager

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree

• 1+ years of Payroll experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

• Union payroll experience

• Experience with PC Applications such as SAP S4 Hana, Star Trac, Salesforce, and/or ADP

• Enterprise

• In-country equivalent payroll certifications/qualifications is a plus

• Proficient with MS Office; advanced knowledge of MS Excel including to ability to do complex formulas, pivot tables, and reports

• Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills

• Ability to work with sensitive and confidential data

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management in both written form and orally

• Strong attention to detail and delivering a quality work product on time
