We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst.

In this role, you will:

• Act as a key member of the GPI Investigations team, accountable for high-quality, on-time project delivery.
• Partner with Operations, Product Owners and Engineering to translate business goals into actionable features for Payments Exceptions & Investigations.
• Elicit, analyze, validate, document and prioritize business and system requirements, owning BA deliverables end-to-end.
• Review global and regional Functional Change Requests to confirm validity, feasibility and alignment to user needs.
• Create epics and user stories with the Product Owner, including clear non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain robust change control and traceability, ensuring signed-off documentation is understood and approved by all stakeholders.
• Work with UAT, Software Delivery, Service Delivery (Operations) and vendors to triage defects, perform root-cause analysis and drive resolution.
• Recommend improvements to enhance process effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring strong business engagement throughout the Agile lifecycle and upholding HSBC values and standards.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Senior Agile Business Analyst with 7–8 years’ experience, ideally in the banking domain, working on Payments Exceptions and Investigations.
• Strong hands-on knowledge in payments investigations / E&I (Exceptions & Investigations).
• Broad payments expertise across High Value, Low Value, ISO standards, RTGS, clearing houses and related processing flows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex topics clearly to diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical and delivery skills including problem-solving, decision-making, stakeholder management, negotiation, conflict and time management.
• Proven experience working as a BA in Agile (preferably Scrum) environments.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, recommend improvements, and drive solutions with IT and vendor partners.
• Proficient with delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence and Visio, and able to ramp up quickly, using initiative in a solution-driven environment.
