Job Description

We are working closely with local authority in Nottingham to assist with the appointment of a Payments Assistant, on a 6-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £13.26 - £17.14 per hour

The Payments Assistant will support the team with day-to-day payment processing activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent communication across the service. The successful candidate will work within a small team environment and will be responsible for managing workloads effectively while using multiple systems throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payments accurately and efficiently in line with service procedures and deadlines
  • Use multiple internal systems simultaneously to manage and update records
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Prioritise workloads effectively within a busy environment
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders within a small team setting
  • Support the wider team with administrative and financial processing duties as required

Essentials

  • Experience working within a busy office environment
  • Good IT literacy with confidence using Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
