About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
We are recruiting for Payments Assessors, Level 1 with a set start date of Monday 14 September 2026.
We have multiple positions available that can be based at our Hamilton and Dunedin offices.

As a Payments Assessor, you will be calculating and paying weekly compensation to our clients recovering from injuries.
Part of your role will involve some difficult conversations with our clients in relation to over-payments. While we train you on how to handle these calls and our leaders will support you where possible, it is important that you are comfortable having these types of conversations.

This is a fast-paced role where there will be opportunities for you to continually grow and develop your skills as a Payments Assessor, increasing your expertise across several Payments tasks and learning more complex work types.



About you | Mōu
We’re looking for people to join our Service Delivery teams around the regions so we can continue to meet the demands of the growth in claims volumes, support change interventions underway and execute on initiatives in the Rehabilitation Performance Improvement Programme (RPIP).

You don’t need to have previous experience in Payments to join the team! Our team come from a range of backgrounds.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Strong communicators - able to explain complex information in simple ways.

  • Detail oriented – able to multitask and prioritise your work in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable – comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities and work types at short notice as business needs evolve.
  • Tech-savvy - confident navigating multiple systems, typing while talking on the phone, and using technology.

The appointing salary for this role will be $61,766 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
