Your new role
As a Payment Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end investigator and site payment processes within clinical trials. You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Operations teams, Study Start-Up, Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders such as Financial Bodies and site staff, to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payments.
In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for payment-related activities, ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and execute investigator and site payments in compliance with Clinical Trial Agreements and applicable regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, including tracking and reconciliation of payment activities.
• Maintain and update payment data in relevant systems, ensuring high data quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of payment processes.
• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve payment-related issues and discrepancies.
• Support budget tracking and provide input to financial planning where relevant.
• Act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding payment queries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, internal SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Your new department
The Clinical Operations Excellence Department is a Team with highly skilled and ambitious colleagues responsible for the planning and execution of clinical trial activities in accordance with the Product Development Plans of Novo Nordisk.The scope of our activities is phase I to IV clinical trials and non-interventional studies in collaboration with our Headquarters and local stakeholders. Our environment is characterized by a global network with challenging assignments in a project centric organization. Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a detail-oriented Payment Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment. You'll bring with you:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, science, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical trials, pharmaceutical industry, or financial operations.
• Strong business acumen with excellent organizational and analytical skills, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Technical aptitude in using electronic payment systems and related digital tools, with ability to ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, and company policies.
• Fluency in English (the interview will be in English).
