What this job involves:

As a Payment Application Analyst at our Regional Shared Service Center, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of financial operations across the entire LATAM region. You'll take ownership of payment processing and banking transactions, serving as the vital link between JLL's finance operations, banking partners, and stakeholders throughout Latin America. Your role combines technical expertise in payment systems with strong analytical capabilities as you process payments, prepare reports, and reconcile accounts to maintain the financial integrity that our clients and business depend on. You'll act as the primary point of contact for resolving banking issues, requiring proactive communication and problem-solving skills to address transaction rejections, incorrect settings, and discrepancies. You'll also contribute to management reporting and provide data-driven recommendations that enhance efficiency and performance across the shared services center.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Execute accurate payments to suppliers and internal transfers through banking portals, following established procedures to guarantee security and accuracy

  • Prepare daily payment reports for bank approvers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and delivery within established deadlines

  • Provide professional, high-quality customer service to internal and external clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly

  • Act as the primary point of contact with banks to resolve transaction issues such as rejections or incorrect settings through proactive communication

  • Prepare management reports highlighting key operational aspects, conducting detailed analysis and providing recommendations to enhance efficiency

  • Perform periodic and thorough payment and account reconciliations between internal records and banking transactions to ensure data integrity

  • Support the finance team during month-end closing activities by providing accurate data and assisting with accounting data review

  • Utilize data visualization tools to present financial information clearly and comprehensively to stakeholders

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in banking transactions to maintain accurate financial records across the LATAM region

Required qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or graduate of a university program in Finance or Accounting (required)

  • 1+ years of accounts payable processing experience

  • Intermediate English proficiency with strong written and oral communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (required)

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to ensure accuracy in high-volume payment processing

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet established deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for reconciliations and issue resolution

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience with JD Edwards ERP system

  • Experience working in a shared services environment or regional operations center

  • Familiarity with banking portals and payment processing systems for multiple countries

  • Background in multi-country or LATAM regional finance operations

  • Experience with data visualization tools for financial reporting

  • Proven track record of resolving complex banking and payment issues

  • Ability to work collaboratively across different time zones and cultural contexts
