
We are seeking a Payer Coordinator to support our Case Management and Utilization Management (CM/UM) team by coordinating payer authorizations, notifications, and documentation. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely communication with insurance payers and supporting compliance with payer requirements—allowing our clinical CM/UM staff to focus on patient care and medical necessity review.
This is a non-clinical, administrative role with direct impact on operational efficiency and revenue protection.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalency degree required
Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field or current student preferred
Minimum Work Experience
Required:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working with EMRs and payer portals
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Healthcare, insurance, or administrative experience
Hospital-based Case Management or Utilization Management experience
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial payers
