Job Description

UHS Binghamton General is seeking a highly organized and collaborative
Administrative Assistant to support our Pay for Performance (P4P) initiatives. This role serves as a key liaison between the P4P Outreach Coordinators and the Managed Care Contracting team, helping drive effective outreach, care management, and daily operational success for attributed patient populations.

The Administrative Assistant plays a central role in maximizing the effectiveness and coordination of outreach and ongoing care management efforts for members enrolled in UHS P4P incentive programs. This position serves as the focal point for daily P4P operations, coordination, and problem‑solving across multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Functions:
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Manage and monitor P4P chase lists among P4P Outreach Coordinator to increase efficiency and maximize incentive payment performances

  • Work with P4P Outreach Coordinators to reconcile discrepancies between UHS gap in care information and Payer gap in care information to maximize incentive payment performance

  • Coordinate with the Managed Care Contracting team to collaboratively prioritize high-value P4P work and distribute worklists to the P4P Outreach Coordinators

  • Represents the organization and P4P efforts in the community in Managed Care Organization meetings as well as other relevant conference calls and trainings.

  • As needed, participate in patient outreach as a P4P Outreach Coordinator including functions such as:

    • Provide outreach to patients and eligible members of Pay for Performance incentive plans

    • Encourage patients and members to close identified gaps in care related to ongoing preventive care and adherence to prescribed care plans including medication adherence

    • Provide linkage to resources to promote health and wellness

    • Collaborate with Care Team members across the Continuum of Care

    • Providing ongoing support and advocacy to assist member in achieving their clinical goals and reduce avoidable emergency room visits and/or hospitalizations

    • Develops and implements care plans as a member of the care team.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • Associates Degree

  • Five (5) years of health care experience

  • Five (5) years of medical terminology and ICD-9/10 coding

  • Microsoft Office applications and analytics

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least one (1) year of health care experience
