Pattern Technologist

(Based at Silueta, Biyagama)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Silueta team as a Pattern Technologist. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to create patterns based on the designer sketch/a garment/measurement sheet, ensure that the sample garments sewn are technically perfect in measurements and fit and provide accurate and complete information for creation of the technical package.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop base-size patterns from designer sketches or sample garments for costing, internal fits, mock-ups, and fabric evaluation.
• Check pattern accuracy against samples, resolve technical issues, and mark required seam allowances.
• Provide necessary details for cutting and sewing while following standard procedures.
• Participate in style introduction meetings and give technical input on garment construction.
• Hand over completed documentation to garment tech and follow through until style approval for production.
• Perform pattern grading and alterations for all styles and submit graded size sets for customer approval.
• Attend fit meetings, review customer comments, and update patterns accordingly while ensuring measurement accuracy.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree in Pattern Making
• 2-3 years of work experience in a similar field
