Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Transports patients in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Safely attaches (and removes) Telemetry Monitoring devices to (and from) patients, upon request. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout Mercy. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track patient and equipment movement throughout the facility. Responsible for connecting, disconnecting, cleaning and storing remote telemetry devices. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensure:
Experience: More than 3 months
Certification/Registration: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program

Experience: Two years customer service experience

Other Skills and Knowledge: Completion of EASI Lead Placement for Remote Telemetry Monitoring training.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
