As a Patient TransportationDispatcher,you willberesponsible forthe coordination of patient transportation services through theaccurateandtimelydispatch of customer requests and efficient assignment of transport personnel todesignatedtasks including patient admissions,dischargesand related processes. In this role, you play a critical role in ensuring patients have access to the attention and treatment they need, offering a unique opportunity to make a difference in their lives every day.

APRNcaregiver in this positionworksvariable hours between 5:30AM – 9:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Exhibit excellent listening skills and telephone etiquette under heavy call volume, whilemaintainingprofessionalism at all times (may bemonitoredby management to ensure quality).

  • Utilize telephone, fax, pagingsystemand computer software to prioritize and distribute patient related tasks to Transporters inatimelyand effective mannertomaximize resource productivity and patient throughput.

  • Provideaccurateandtimelyinput of information into transportation software to ensure proper identification and safety of patient care and tracking thereof.

  • Resolve and follow up on dispatch problems related to patient, visitor,staffor employee complaints asappropriate

  • Monitor andmaintaindaily sign-in/out and shift logs.

  • Monitor productivity and response timesin accordance withdepartment quality standards andreportsvariances to management.

  • Identifysystem-related problems andreactquickly to escalate issues toappropriate personnelfor corrective action.

  • Compile special reports fromsystemas requested by management.

  • Transport patients during peak periods or emergencies as called upon.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability totypeaminimum of 30 wpm and successful completion of an alphanumeric data entry test

  • Proficient in the use of computer software (e.g.MS Word,Excel,Windows environment)


Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
