PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Patient Specialist is primarily engaged in educating the family about hospice services and ensuring that patients are signed into the Hospice program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Listed below is an outline of the major duties and responsibilities that will be required. Administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform the assigned duties under the supervision of the Controller are delegated to the Patient Specialist.
Every effort has been made to provide a position description that is as complete as possible. Hospice El Paso is El Paso's first and oldest hospice. In fact, it is a locally owned nonprofit organization that is governed by a 25‐member Board of Directors composed of dedicated El Pasoans.
It includes a staff of 130 experienced & dedicated professionals that will provide the special care, comfort, and services essential to the patient during the final stages of life's journey.
The Hospice El Paso staff understands the real meaning of hospice and they live and work it every day.
