The Patient Sitter is responsible for continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients through a non-recording video monitoring system

Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
behaviors while notifying nursing staff for assistance
could potentially be used for harm
hand off of information when patient is cleared from suicidal watch

This role will interact closely with nursing unit, medical staff, patients, and other hospital departments
Physical Capabilities
Work is demanding and requires ability to monitor up to 12 patients on one screen at a time. Talking and
hearing is essential for communicating with patients and nursing staff.
Environmental/Working Conditions
This position is subject to varying indoor temperature changes. Work done intraoperative is performed in a high- risk area
for exposure to blood borne pathogens and other bio-waste hazards.
