We are currently searching for a Patient Services Specialist to join our team at our OrthoCarolina Fort Mill office location.
The Patient Services Specialistgreets patients, prepares forms, collects,verifiesand enters patient information into EPIC necessary for thetimelyandaccurateprocessing of patient claims.
Essential Functions:
Prepares paperwork necessary for thepatientvisit.
Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges,
Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due.
Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disabilityformscompletion as requested.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills
Working knowledge of insurance
Epic/EMR background a plus
Medical terminology
Qualifications:
High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree
Prefer minimum of one year experience inmedicalclinic setting.
