Novant Health Pediatrics Blakeney is seeking a part-time Patient Services Coordinator III!

Work Schedule: Monday, Wednesday-Friday 8am-5pm (every Tuesday off); Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm - 1-2 Saturday shifts a month

The Patient Services Coord III role is responsible for timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges and collections. Scheduling patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner. Cross-training required in multiple administrative support functions.

What You'll Do

Job responsibilities include:

• Greet patients, provide exceptional customer service, and assist with overall patient needs and inquiries.
• Complete patient registration accurately, maintain registration work queues, and verify required patient information.
• Answer incoming phone calls, triage requests to the appropriate department or location, and facilitate effective office communication.
• Monitor daily schedules, assist with appointment-related needs, and support efficient office operations.
• Complete medical forms, maintain administrative documentation, and perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Education High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience One year of clerical experience in medical office setting, required. Other related experience may be considered in lieu of medical office experience.
• Additional Skills (required): Knowledge of medical office software for the following: updating patient demographic information, posting charges, copays, and scheduling patient appointments. Requires excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to work with changing priorities. Requires excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must be able to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to function as part of a team. Must possess initiative. Basic medical terminology required, knowledge can be obtained through formal classes or work experience. High level of working knowledge of EPIC systems. Detailed knowledge of multiple payors billing requirements. Familiarity of coding requirements for practice specialty.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Proficient in use of all computer software utilized in practice.
